Thommankuthu Waterfalls, Thodupuzha

Thommankuthu waterfall is a small and beautiful waterfall that is situated near Thodupuzha in Idukki district of Kerala. This waterfall is named after a tribal leader named Thomman who was washed away in this waterfall while crossing the river. This waterfall has seven steps and cascades down from a height of 1500 m. The difference between the first and the last fall is 500 m. An important feature of this waterfall is that at each step of the fall a pool is formed.

Thommankuthu, a beautiful ecotourism destination, has a series of waterfalls. In addition, there are several caves and viewpoints.

Thommankuthu attracts nature lovers and adventure seekers. Nature lovers get the perfect opportunity to feel the coolness of mountain stream, take in the aromas and enjoy the woods.
