Konni is a village which is situated on the river banks of Achankovil in the Pathanamthitta district. There are numerous rivers and streams through this village. This place is famous for the Elephant training centre which is the oldest in India. It is rich in cash crops and is also popular for elephants and aanakoodu. This elephant training centre was built in 1941 where there are facilities for elephant viewing, feeding, riding etc. The forests near this village were once inhabited by the aboriginals. The climate and environmental conditions are suitable for the flora and fauna.

The ecotourism activities include trekking trails which involves trekking to the evergreen forests of this place. The river here is a best place for the tourists to relax. One day treks can be also conducted in locations such as Kattathi, Kottampara and Aluvamkudy. There is also a waterfall here called as the Manalar-Kumbhavurutty found deep inside the forest. It needs two days to trek to these falls.
