Yoga Tips for Travelers

Lengthy journey and long sitting hours leaves a traveler confined to one place while traveling. It adversely affects the joints, muscles and blood circulation. Therefore, if possible consider doing few postures and Yoga moves while being on long flights.

Inhale and exhale for the count of four and eight respectively. Do this for six times. Get up from your seat and walk around the plane aisles, inhale and bring your right foot forward and exhale and bring your left foot forward. This Yoga posture will improve the blood circulation of your legs and all body parts.

Raise your neck and spine slowly and straighten it vertebrae by vertebrae while being on seat and after couple of seconds relax it. Do this again with inhale and exhale procedure for next eight times. This Yoga posture will lead to proper blood circulation at spinal area.
While sitting on your seat, lift your right knee and enclose your hands around it and inhale for next four count. Now slowly remove your hand along with exhaling your breath for next eight counts. Do this Yoga exercise with both legs as it will certainly relax your legs.
For relaxation of your ankles, rotate them for eight times respectively. Relax and inhale and exhale for four counts. This posture will bring in blood circulation to hip and leg area.

By executing these Yoga postures while traveling you can take a good care of yourself and you can feel refreshed and more energetic before reaching your destination.
