Carrot Thoran Carrot Thoran is a keralite dish ! It is prepared to eaten with white rice, It is also a part of sadya recipes Ingredients: Carrots – 3 Medium sized Onion sliced – 1 cup Green chilies – 3 sliced Shredded coconut – 1/2 cup Ginger – 1″ piece salt – to taste Oil – 1 tbsp Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp Gram daal – 1/8 tsp Dry red chilies – 2 Sliced shallots – 1/2 tbsp Method: Shred carrots, onions, and ginger. Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, add daal, dry red chilies and shallots and saute till brown. Add the shredded carrot mixture, shredded coconut, green chilies and salt. Cover and cook the mixture for a few minutes. Open the lid and stir till the mixture is completely dry.
