Beans Thoran is a typical Kerala recipe which is made of vegetables and coconut. It is very nourishing and tasty. It is used as a side dish for rice. Here is the recipe for making Beans Thoran.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and black gram and allow them to splutter.
Add curry leaves and dry red chillies and fry them for a minute.
Add the beans to this along with salt and turmeric powder.
Add a little water to this and cook them covered for 2-3 minutes.
Crush the desicated coconut, garlic and green chillies.
Add the coconut mix to the beans and mix them well until all the water is gone.
Beans Thoran is ready to be served.
