Karimbukayam – Meloram

This quaint spot on the Manimala River that flows between the Kanjirapally (a plantation town) and Erumeli panchayats is much sought-after for its natural splendours. However what makes the place really popular are the occasional exotic water fiestas on the reservoirs organised by the enthusiastic people.

Apart from Mundakayam and Kanjirapally, the two agricultural towns, proximity to the National Highway (N. H.) 220 helps connect Kottayam to Tamil Nadu as well. Besides this, a number of state Highways like S. H. 1 (Main Central road), S. H. 11, S. H. 14, S. H. 13, S. H. 32 and S. H. 15 add on to the road transport system of the district. The Alappuzha - Changanassery road that links up Kottayam with Kochi, one of the main port cities even requires mention.
Cochin International airport is the nearest airport.
