Kerala’s third gold of the day came in the Women’s Coxless Four 500m event with Aswany Anilkumar, Nimmy Thomas, Anjali Raj and Honey Joseph emerging as winners. Sajan Prakash claimed his 5th gold in the pool by winning the men’s 800m freestyle. En route to gold, the 21-year-old set a new Games Record by clocking 8:15:49. Sajan now has eight medals from the Games. Elizabeth Susan Koshy claimed her second gold medal from the shooting range by winning the women’s 50m rifle 3 positions. She had won her first gold in the women’s 50m rifle prone event on Tuesday. The three rowing gold medals helped Kerala remain fourth on the medals table, with 12 gold overall, behind Services, Haryana and Maharashtra. The top 3 States, remarkably, have together claimed more than 50% of the gold medals decided so far.
