Ashramam Picnic Village

Ashramam Picnic village is located in the Guest House Complex in Kollam district. This Guest House is around 200 years old and lies in an area of 48 acres. It was the residence of Lord Munroe and the architecture of this building is marvelous.  The tourist village at Ashram along the backwaters is an ideal picnic destination.

The attractions here include a boat club, Children’s traffic and entertainment park and Yatri Nivas. This traffic park is the largest of its kind in Kerala. Yatri Nivas is a hotel run by the KTDC. There is also a museum here called as the Paaramparya museum where paintings from different places are exhibited. On the shore of the Ashtamudi kayal lies an adventure park. There is a boat jetty from where boats can be hired.
